- The width of the right of way should be kept as per the provisions of the applicable part / section of the Indian Standard Code of Practice for Design, Installation and Maintenance of Overhead Power Lines (IS: 5613).
- For lines up to 220 kV, IS 5613 (Part 2 / Sec 2) recommends the following right of way widths taking into consideration the theoretical requirement of right of way and transport requirements of maintenance:
